People mainly concerned with profit exploit our planets rescources towards our destruction. But more and more people realize what we are doing, and the Californiabased Bioneers (http://www.bioneers.org/ ) have a lot of examples of how environments have been restored to living habitats. More and more people join them, and volunteers and scientists join forces in restoration projects.
That makes me feel optimistic!
